In this case study I demonstrate a practical example where Rainfall data is collected an analysed on an Australian Farm.
The users system collects 288 data rows per day which totals to 104,916 per year, however he only wants the last row saved (which holds all the data for that day).
In this tutorial I show you how to do this using a LibreOffice Split Database that uses the "text table" feature of LibreOffice’s HSQLDB database to connect to a text csv file.
Get the database, files and sql used in the tutorial video above.
Also get updates when new blog or video tutorials are released.
This video has of lot useful information, that will add a load of tools to your LibreOffice database knowledge, maybe I haven’t chosen the best picture for it, or maybe I need a suntan (I know I need a haricut 😉 – roll on normal times eh!), let me know what you think.

This kind of precise tips, minitutorials, etc are wonderful. It will be a blast if you could increase them about LibreOffice! Thanks again

When I try to open the
I get “Please add a copy of the HSQLDB engine (hsqldb.jar) to the current folder :”
My online searches have not helped. Do you have any suggestions?
