Thank you for sharing your knowledge and teaching us.
Considering that LibreOffice is now at Ver. 7.1.1 (or higher), is Roberto Benitez’s 2008 book the best one for us? With the stated goal of moving from HSQLDB to Firebird Embedded and the differences between them, I look forward to your recommendation.
I can’t speak to moving to firebird, I’ve heard talk about it for the last year or so on forums etc.
All I can say it that HSQLDB is still the default database, Roberto’s book is serious hard core coding.
If your good at VBA or LibreOffice Basic or understand programming in general it’s very useful.
I still refer to it, it’s the only relevant book on base programming as far as I’m concerned.
But it’s not a walk in the park, you’ve gotta do the work (I’ve yellow highlighted parts of it and used
post-it’s to book mark parts of it.)
